Hello my sweet friend. I’m SO EXCITED to share our new blog space! My daughter Emily and I have been working for months to build a new WordPress blog. It took a lot more time than we expected to get all of the old posts moved over from the Blogger format I used for nine years. I’m still in the process of trying to update and fix or delete links from old posts. It’s been a huge job, but also quite a walk down memory lane looking through all those old posts!
So, how about a virtual tour? At the top of the page you’ll see a beautiful new logo for Scrap This Save That, designed by my incredibly talented daughter-in-law, Erin. I think it’s perfect for our new look! Right below that, and also down the sidebar a little, you’ll find direct links to all the current social media sites and pages for Scrap This Save That. We have also been working on building and/or updating them! Please use those links to drop by and check things out and say hi! The Facebook and Pinterest pages have been around for quite some time, but the Instagram and YouTube channels are both pretty new and could use your love and support and subscription to help them grow and flourish!
Below the social media links, on the main page, you’ll find three big colored blocks for different links; the Craft Room page, Videos, and our newly updated About page. Click on them, poke around, and let me know what you think! Did I leave anything important out? Let me know in the comments below, if I did.
Next, and to the right, is the sidebar with a really old photo of me! I promise the pic will be updated soon, complete with my purple and grey hair! You’ll also find a box with an affiliate Amazon link in case you feel like doing any shopping! Below that, is one of several places where you can sign up for emails delivered right to your inbox, in case you’re not already subscribed. There’s a new email delivery system for the blog that I’m still playing with and getting to know. Hopefully, for you and the emails you receive from me, the transition will be seamless. Below the second set of social media links is all the legal documentation that blogs are required to have these days to stay legal and transparent.
To the left on the main page, there’s oodles and tons of old blog posts dating back to May, 2011. Soon, you’ll see all those old posts get pushed down as new ones start populating the front page. I have a post each day coming out for the next week, just to get you caught up on new videos, and I have SO MUCH more fun stuff planned for the future!
