Page Kit Week 1 – Scrapbook Double Page Layout

As promised, today kicks off a new series about how to use page kits in all sorts of creative ways!  I’m super excited about this endeavor and I hope you are too!  As described in yesterday’s post, here’s the page kit I made:
Quick Quotes, Teresa Collins, bling, ribbon, Scrapbooking
It includes papers from Quick Quotes and Teresa Collins, as well as solid color cardstock, a sheet of QQ punch-outs, Some bling, ribbon, epoxy stickers, and brads.  I added some photos I wanted to scrap of my beautiful daughter and son-in-law that were taken during an engagement portrait session.

My layout includes several punch outs from a Quick Quotes page I had,  I trimmed them so that all the edges were clean (no little paper “tabs” from punching them out) and then inked the edges.  I put one little butterfly on top of another and bent the wings up to give them dimension, and then added a little bling on the body of the butterfly,

I did a little more layering on the second page.  I have more bling peeking out from behind the center photo.  I also cut up the page of Bingo cards and played peek-a-boo with a couple of them.  I matted all of the photos on black cardstock to ground everything and add some extra pop to the page.

I hope you’re liking what you see so far!  The next project using more of the same page kit will be a 12 x 12 pocket page posted on Thursday.

I really curious to know how you use your page kits…do you just make a layout and toss the rest in with your scraps, or do you make multiple items?  Please tell me!!  I’d love to know what you’re up to!

Happy Scrapping!

Great pages! I love making kits, and I make kits based on the Counterfeit Kit challenge-I think I have as much fun pulling kits from my supplies as I do scrapping with them!
