Vinyl on Ceramic Tile

Yes, I’ve mentioned this about 10 times so far, but my daughter’s wedding FINALLY came and we had the best time EVER!  I thought very long and hard about a wedding gift I could give that would mean something special to both of them and not get lost among the toasters and spatulas.  This is what I finally came up with:

I used the tracing feature on my Silhouette Cameo, and one of their engagement photos to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art for them.  Below is the original picture I used.  it was taken by an incredible local photographer, Photos By Bailey.

I used brown vinyl on a tan colored ceramic tile that I had cut to my specifications (6 x 8 inches)  at our local Lowes Home Improvement Store.  I found a great video tutorial from the Silhouette company showing how to do this technique. You can find it on YouTube.

While I was at it, I made them a second tile with their names and a monogram, so they would have a set for their mantle.  I bought some inexpensive silver easels for each tile, and it all looks awesome above their fireplace!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Scrapping!
