As I was looking around my craft room this morning, i was noticing that I have an INSANE amount of brads and embellishments. Way more than I could ever use in two lifetimes (unless I REALLY start adding more embellishments to my projects!) I think part of the reason we all tend to collect so many, is because we always need something in a certain color to match the project we’re working on. So why don’t we put all our crafty goodies to work for us and create something new? After all, it’s what we do!
I took some metal brads in a color I have never used, and wanted to make them silver. With a few items I already had in my stash, I went from the copper looking brads in the photo above, to this:
Shiny silver! All I needed was the brads, a heat embossing gun, silver embossing powder, VersaMark Ink, and tweezers for safety. Come back tomorrow, and I’ll have a tutorial showing you how I did this!
Can you imagine how much money you can save by not having to buy brads in EVERY color?!
