Happy Saturday

Welcome to this month’s hop with…
The Creating Blog Hops Cafe’.
This month’s theme is…
School Daze
Those school days are just around the corner, and
we have made some wonderful projects to share with you this month to help get you ready for school.
Our hostess for the hop is…
Our sponsor for this month is also…
Robin
Robin will be giving one lucky winner a school themed scrapbooking kit that includes everything you need to complete a scrapbook as well as the scrapbook.
For your chance to win this complete scrapbook kit you must be a follower of each of the blogs in this hop as well as leave each of the ladies a little blog love by leaving them a comment to let them know how much you loved their projects.
So, sit back, grab yourself a Latte’ and let us dare to amaze you with our projects.
So you know those plain old composition books that are always a part of the back to school sales?
I decided to alter one just in time for our School Daze hop!  Look at the photo below and tell me if you can guess which subject this notebook will be for???

Did you guess Geography?  If you did, then you would be right!  I found a piece of cardstock from American Crafts in my stash that had a map of the United States printed on it, and thought it would be perfect for a geography book!  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out a geo tag pointing to the city my sweet little grandson lives in.  He’s got a few more years before he is school age, but since I think of him all the time, this is just one more sweet reminder!
I put some red washi tape on the back of the geo tag to make it pop!  Next I added some “air mail” washi to the side binding of the book.  I thought it also followed the geography theme well!  I wrapped some natural jute around everything and topped it off with a coordinating button.  Ready for school!

Your next stop will be with…
the talented Alicia…just wait til you see what she has in store for you!
If you get lost along the way, here is the entire line-up for today’s hop so that you will be able to get back on track and not miss a single project.

Love the way you did the cover and was excited to see my home state of Michigan on it. 😉 I have done one of these covers in the past and you have inspired me to dig out another notebook to do one or two before the new school year begins. Something like this would make a great teacher's gift. Congratulations on your daughter's wedding.
