So what’s a blog tour? I’m not sure exactly where or when this started (although I wish I did so I could thank the originator!) but I think it’s a fabulous idea! AJ answered four questions (I’ll be answering the same ones below) and then tagged three people to do the same the next week. I was one of her people, so I’ll do the same today and then tag someone for next Monday’s tour. Just wait til you see who it is…she’s AWESOME! So here goes…
What am I working on?
my daughter’s wedding is coming up in 27 days, (EEP!!) EVERYTHING I’m doing revolves
around the wedding! In the past few
months, we’ve made invitations and custom-cut envelopes, bridal shower invitations, a Snap book with custom-made 3×4 journaling cards for relationship advice from her shower guests, a really cool gift bag, and food cards for her shower. Now I’m in the process of taking a bunch of
tulle and ribbon from her shower gifts to make her a “bouquet” for
her rehearsal, a “thanks” banner for one of her wedding pics, more
3×4 cards for wedding guests to fill out, a box for the guests to deposit those
cards in, and soooo much more! After
July 19th, I might actually make a scrapbook layout again, if I haven’t
How does my work differ from others of it’s genre?
think one of the big stand-outs in my work, is that I LOVE to use bright
colors…I mean, REALLY bright colors!
I’ve tried using muted colors, and vintage colors, and although I do
every now and then, it’s not in my comfort zone, and something I always feel a
little insecure about. Oh, and purple…it’s always about purple with me!
Why do I write/create what I do?
I’ve mentioned before, I used to be an extreme couponer. I’m ultra frugal, as well as disabled and on
a limited income. I got really interested
in Scrapbooking after my neck injury when my other artistic outlets were no
longer possible, or severely limited. As ALL paper crafters know, it is NOT a cheap
hobby! I started small and used the
knowledge and resources I learned from couponing to slowly build a stash. Of course now, it’s taken on a life of its
feel very strongly that anyone, regardless of their income, can get their hands
on all the supplies they need for next-to-nothing, if they’re willing to put in
the time. That has been the goal of this blog all along…helping people save money on their crafting needs, so they can pursue their art and nurture their creativity. And for those who can afford
supplies, why not get them free or cheap anyway and save all that money for a really great vacation???

How does your writing/creating process work?
such a hard question, because I’m a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants girl. I have several weekly features I like to
write, like Money-Saving Monday and Free-For-All Friday, or to participate in such as What’s on Your WorkdeskWednesday. Beyond that, I sit at my desk
in my gorgeous craft room and will just see something that catches my eye and
inspires me, and away I go!
Now, for the next part of the tour, I would like to introduce you to Georgiana from Carson’s Creations. She and I have been bloggie friends for several years, and I’ve loved following her work and creative process. Here’s a little about her:
Hi! My name is Georgiana of Carson's Creations. I am super excited that Amy asked me to be a part of this Blog Hop Tour. A little about me...I am married with 2 children, Kyle is almost 20 and Kelsey is 16. I am an elementary teacher (5th grade) in Central Florida, but I am currently enjoying summer vacation. I have been papercrafting for a little over 4 years thanks to a fellow teacher who got me hooked on my Cricut Expression. I added the Silhouette Cameo to my collection this past Christmas and love using both machines. I typically make cards, but enjoy making treat bags for my students and I recently been having fun making more 3D projects. I am on a few Design Teams, have participated in many hops, and look forward to meeting crafty friends who like to share.Georgiana will be showing and telling you more in her part of the blog tour next Monday June 30th. Be sure to stop by so you can say hi and get to know her a little better. You'll be glad you did! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed what you read and saw. I would love to hear any feedback you might have!
Eek! I almost forgot!!! The winner of the two Itty Bitty stamp sets from last week's Growing in Unity posts is:
Yay!!! Who, you have until Thursday to contact me and let me know which stamps you would like! Congratulations!!
