I was so happy and excited to be able to join in with this blog hop this month, since my daughter is getting married in July, and our lives are just wedding central right now! We just had her bridal shower two weeks ago, and here are the invitations I made for them.
I used a cut file from the Silhouette Store called, “Daniela Angelova Bride Card.” There were a few different cuts, but it was relatively easy to put together. Since the inside of the card had writing in it, I decided to package the card with a piece of white cardstock placed between the front and the text, so that you could get the full effect of the “bride” when pulling the card out of the envelope.
For the inside, I printed all of the information about the shower on vellum and then matted it with white cardstock, and used tiny silver brads to attach everything. I really loved the way it came out!
Now on to the actual wedding invitation. This was A LOT more involved! We had a really tough time from the start, trying to incorporate my daughter’s wedding colors. She chose plum and green apple, which will be beautiful, but on a wedding invitation, it just came out looking like Halloween colors! We finally decided to go with white and grey, and just use touches of the colors. We used the plum on the inner envelope flap and the bow on the front of the gatefold card. We used the green by making vellum leaves for the flower on the front of the card.
On the inside of the card (sorry, but I blurred some of the particulars!) all of the wedding info is in the center, and is also printed on vellum and attached to a white mat with tiny silver brads. On the left side of the card is all the RSVP info and on the right side is the lyrics to the song that Emily is going to walk down the aisle to. I thought that was a super sweet touch!
