I would like to show you a trick to get a little more mileage out of your acrylic stamps! This actually makes one stamp into two! This was shown to me by my sweet friend AJ a few years ago. It won’t work with every design, but does pretty good with most that are symmetrical.
I start by putting a stamp on an acrylic block BACKWARDS, so that the smooth side of the stamp is facing outwards.
Ink up the smooth side of the stamp just like you normally would…
And stamp your image.
Now, instead of a detailed image, you have a solid one. For certain shapes, you can leave it just like that, but for this demonstration, I’m using the solid color as a background for the detailed image
I turn my stamp over and ink it up with Black Memento ink, line up the images and re-stamp. Now I have a detailed image with a colored shadow! Come back on Wednesday to see what I ended up doing with this technique!
Now, for the winner of the All Postal stamp set from Saturday’s Hippity Hoppity Blog Hop, the winner is…
I will be emailing Karen to let her know!
I hope you all have a great night!!!!
