MFP Speedy TV Color Challenge

Welcome to Thursday…it’s almost the weekend!  Yay!  After the craziness of last weekend, I’m ready for some peace and quiet!

I decided to do a card today instead of a scrapbook layout.  I was struggling with the color pallet and couldn’t figure out how to incorporate it onto a page.  That’s why I love cards sometimes.  You can make almost anything work!

The colors this week for our challenge is pink, turquoise, and blue.  Although I love all three colors, I haven’t ever worked with turquoise and blue together.  They’re so close in color, but such different tones that I find them hard to combine. But I must say, I like the way this card came out!

I started with a cut file from the Silhouette Store called the A2 Lori Whitlock Banner Card.  The Silhouette store had an awesome sale last month and I must admit I got quite a few new files!  Woot!  I cut the front banner in white so that I could stamp and color my image.  I chose one of the images from Mark’s Finest Paper’s Huge Blooms stamp set.  I love this set and I keep using it over and over!  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my Bic Mark-Its.  I used some pretty blue ribbon to finish the card off…love it!

Don’t forget to join us this week.  You have until next Wednesday at 5 pm PST to link up!

Happy Scrapping!
