Mini New Year

Welcome to the last day of our hop!  I hope you’ve enjoyed yourself and that the artists have sparked some creativity and given you some great ideas!

Here’s my last card for the hop and one of my favorites!  I just love the Chill in the Air stamp set because it’s conducive to several of my favorite techniques.  I started with a white piece of cardstock and put just the slightest bit of Weathered Wood Distress ink in the left corner.  Then I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set and stamped over the light color with VersaMark ink and then used clear embossing powder to heat emboss.  Next, I used black Memento ink to stamp the tree.  I used an image of one of the branches in the set and just stamped the tip ends of it to make the dried grass on the ground.

Next, I let the Distress Ink do it’s magic!  I used Frayed Burlap, more Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky and Faded jeans to give the illusion of the moon and a winter’s night sky.  A little matting, and poof, you have a cool wintery card.  Love it!

Happy Scrapping!
