Happy Holidays With A Cute Deer -

Happy hump day!!! Welcome to the middle of the week and to my next installment of Purple Passion on MFP Speedy TV. This is my weekly post about using my favorite color, PURPLE!

Mark’s Finest Paper has just released a stamp set I’m ABSOLUTELY in LOVE with! It’s called Joyous Season, and it’s awesome!! It has a few sentiments, and then a really big stamp with a deer laying in the woods. Although she is laying on a bed of evergreens, I could totally see this stamp working for all kinds of other cards too, besides just Christmas themed ones.

I stamped my image with black Memento ink on Kraft paper so that I could start with a light brown base. I wanted to be able to color the birch trees white. I used watercolor pencils to color the image. I mounted the two pieces of Kraft on a darker brown and then put everything on…you guessed it…PURPLE!
