Mark’s Finest Paper Scrapbook Challenge

Yay, it’s Thursday!  Only one more day ’til the weekend gets here!  Tomorrow is my sweet daughter’s birthday, so I’m looking super forward to the weekend!

Happy scrapbook challenge day too!  This week over at the MFP Speedy TV Scrapbook Challenge we’re working with die cuts.  The challenge is to create a layout using die cuts or punched shapes.  You can also fussy cut a stamped image for this challenge.

Remember this challenge is strictly scrapbook layouts, no cards please.  You have to use stamps on your pages. They don’t have to be Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co stamps but if you do use them you will be entered twice for a chance to win.  And here’s the super-cute stamp you could possibly win this week!

So, I’m still in a little bit of the 4th of July mode.  I have SO MANY photos from our neighborhood celebrations each year, that I’m really trying to get them all put together on layouts.  I think I’m mostly done! The pics below are all from 2010.  It was a cold day that year and we were all wearing jackets…in July!

For the die cut portion of my layout, I turned to my trusty Silhouette Cameo and the Silhouette store.  The blue star background is called Stars Screen 12 x 12.    The woman with the flag is called the Betsy Ross Silhouette.  The circle and scalloped edge I used to stamp on, and the little 4th of July sign are both from a file called 4th of July Labels.

The cute little sentiment I used (I thought it was PERFECT with the Betsy Ross Die cut) is from the USA Heroes mini stamp set.  It comes with all kinds of awesome phrases.

I hope you’ll join us over at Mark’s Finest Paper for this week’s challenge.  You have until next Wednesday at 8 pm EST to link up.  See you there!

Happy Scrapping!
