Hi!! Welcome to day 2 of my Growing in Unity week! If you’re new, wecome, and if you’re not, I’m so glad you chose to stop by and say hi!!
Today’s card is COMPLETELY different from yesterday’s project. I want to play around with some different techniques this week and expand my horizons a little! I used one of my favorite images from the Insightful Meadows Collection. I started with black Memento ink and stamped right in the center of the white cardstock. Then without re-inking, I stamped a second and a third time to give the effect of some of the flowers being farther away. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in shades of blue (tumbled glass, broken china, stormy sky, faded jeans, and chipped sapphire) starting with my lightest color first. Working from the outside in, I used progressively darker colors, making it a point to keep the center light. Then I backed it with some coordinating cardstock from my stash, and viola…a cool card!
For those of you who haven’t heard, please leave a comment on any Growing in Unity post on my blog this week, and next Monday I’ll pick a random winner from all the combined comments to receive TWO Itty Bitty Stamps of the winner”s choice, courtesy of Unity Stamps!
Happy Scrapping!
