Money-Saving Monday #11

I know this may seem like a no brainer for some, but one of the best ways EVER to save money on craft supplies, is to shop for seasonal or holiday goodies AFTER the holiday.  Usually within a few days, the goodies are marked down to tremendously low prices.

I was reminded of this today when I went in to Michael’s to pick up a Smash*book, (with a 50% off coupon, of course!) and was stared in the face by two end-caps overflowing with Halloween paper packs, embellishments, stickers, punches…just about anything a paper crafter could dream of!

I just had to pick up a few paper packs, and while I realize that it will probably be next year before I use the majority of the paper, I also realize I don’t mind waiting because I got it all for 80% off…the two paper packs (by K & Co and Martha Stewart) and 5 mat stacks and dies cut stacks, only cost me $10.73!  And add to that, the fact that I used a gift card I got for my birthday, technically my total out of pocket was zilch zero FREE!  SCORE!!

I can’t wait for the after Christmas sales!

Score!! That's how my mom and I shop as well especially after Christmas, I have had my daughter's stocking stuffers for this year since last year as well as all her Christmas/birthday presents!!

Great finds! For crafting goodies sometimes they go on sale just before the holiday because they know it is too late. I was a very good girl this year and didn't buy any more H'ween paper or goodies except for one page of fancy stickers (K&Co) for a project. I have enough to last me several more H'weens without buying more.

I always look for the stickles…Usually the stickles for seasons come in 3 packs and then they get marked down to like 70 cents for the 3 pack! Yay! Yellow/brown/orange after Halloween and red/green silver after Christmas…YAY!!!
