So, our theme for this blog hop is NEW. I chose to depict the new year and the new month that’s just around the corner. I made calendars for both of my kids for Christmas this year. My blog postings have been sparse, because I didn’t want to show pics of what I had been working on before the kids opened their gifts. (I call them “kids” but they’re 25 and 30 and they sometimes read my blog!) So now, if you’re interested, stop back my my blog for the new few days (or weeks!) and I’ll post the pics a few at a time.
Here’s the page I did on my daughters calendar for January 2012:
I used three different Cricut cartridges.
I used the snowman (minus the pipe) from Winter Frolic. I think he came out super cute with his Peachy Keen eyes!
I also used the Phrase from the same page.
Of course the adorable little girl (made to resemble my daughter on her first snowboarding fiasco…I mean, trip) is from Everyday Paper Dolls. The snowflakes were cut from Winter Lace, with lots of Stickles and bling thrown in for good measure!
I hope you liked the beginning of my project! I’ll explain more in future posts about the calendar and how it was made.
