And on A Personal Note…

Today, my husband, daughter, and I made our annual trek to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life at the University of Washington.  We were accompanied by our incredible neighbor Linda, and her husband.  My husband Rob, is a three-time cancer survivor.  Linda has twice defeated cancer.  They inspire and amaze me every day.

It was a wonderful day.  Now…go hug someone you love!

Amy: The first time I did Relay For Life (with my daughter and girlfriends) – I CRIED most of the time. They were tears of happy joy and some of sad remembrances. Thanks for being part of this amazing event.

Hey! No, it wasn't South Kitsap. I live in Anacortes. So I was at the North Whidbey Relay in Oak Harbor. I was going to email you back, but I couldn't find your email address. Mine is cherie.goyer at

Thank you for the kind words. That is great the your husband is a three-time survivor. Relay is such a moving event, and I was very happy I could be involved this year. My grandpa passed away in 1999 of cancer, and my best friend's father passed away a couple years ago, so it hits close to home. There are some amazing people out there and it makes me so happy to hear about your husband! Sounds like you are a strong, supportive family and I hope he is able to attend many more years to come.
